Barrington May Fair
The PFA at the Barrington base of St Mary & St Peter's First School held a very successful May Fair on Saturday 7th May. An excellent total of over £1000 pounds was raised, which will be used to purchase items for use in the classrooms and around the school.
The May King and Queen, Prince and Princess, were crowned at the village hall in Barrington. This was followed by a parade of all the schoolchildren through the village with floral hoops. On arrival at the school, we began with Maypole dancing by the Year 3 & 4 pupils. The morning continued with a full range of stalls (many organised by the pupils themselves), refreshments and games to interest all visitors. All in all, an enjoyable and successful event for all who attended.
