The children are enjoying swimming lessons at Chard and making good progress. All of the Reception children took to the water like ducks and enjoyed splashing Mrs Ferguson!

As part of our work to achieve the Healthy Schools' Award all of the children will listen to a talk by the School nurse, Lisa Ashdown, about healthy eating and they will be able to try a stir-fry. Mrs Ashdown will also talk to parents about dealing with head lice at 3.30pm on the Ilton base. All parents are welcome.
Pancake Day on February 28th was celebrated with egg shackling, a decorated egg competition and eating pancakes. Egg shackling took place at Barrington 9.00am and Ilton At 1.15pm. Mrs Ferguson did her final "shackles"! Parents and friends were invited to join in the fun.

Year 4 children who will be leaving school this year, will be visiting Wells Cathedral on March 8th for a day of workshops and worship.

The Mothers' Day service will be held on Friday 24th March at 2.00pm at Barrington Church and the Easter service will be on Friday 31st March at 9.00am at Ilton Church. Please keep these dates free and join us for the services which will be taken by the children.

Interviews for the new headteacher will be taking place on March 21st and 22nd. As soon as a decision is made I am sure that the governors will be informing parents.

Mrs Gould will be leaving on March 16th. We wish her lots of luck for the future and thank her for all she has done at school.

Barrington base PFA held a sponsored walk on February 28th. The May fair is on Saturday 6th May.
Ilton PFA is holding an Easter Egg Hunt and Quiz Night. Dates to follow.

School closes for the Easter holidays on Friday 31st March at 2.OOpm. and re-opens
for the summer term on Tuesday 18th April.

Ilton base will begin moving into the decant buildings soon and be ready to start work in there after the Easter holidays.
