Dear Parents,
Welcome Back to School
I hope you all had a good Summer even though the weather was sometimes dismal.
New children
We welcome new children to our school and some new families. I am sure you will make them all very welcome. We have five children joining our foundation year on the Ilton Base. So welcome to Joel A’Court, Ashley Bere, Kyan Hartnell, Joe Isaacs, Gabriel Plant and Daniella Roncescu. On our Barrington Base we welcome Isabelle Applegate, Joshua Lee, Courtney Newis, Clare Ripley, Chloe Seers, Alexandra Stenner and Jake Watson.
New Staff
In addition we also have two new members of staff starting this term. Last term I informed you that we appointed Sarah Wright to our administration team. Sarah will be mainly based at
New Building at
Yes! It is finally going to arrive. Unfortunately all the services needed to support the operation of lifting the building into our site could not be co-ordinated for a day during the holiday. However, much of the ground work is almost completed and the new Elliott is due to be lifted into place on 17th September. The safety of your children is always our priority and therefore the children at
Topics
The children have returned enthusiastic about their new topics. The Ilton classes are going to be finding out and learning about ‘Things that move’. At the Barrington Base the children in Mrs. Downing’s class are going to be learning about ‘Volcanoes and Dinosaurs’ and Mrs. Tulloch’s and Mrs. Kelly’s class are going to be learning about ‘Famous People’
Year Four
We have already organised an exciting trip for the year four children on 17th September (same day as Elliott being delivered to
Parking
This is always a contentious issue but please could you ensure that if you are parking near the Ilton Base that you leave the gate clear. Sometimes the gate is obstructed by cars which is not thoughtful towards our neighbours and also would not allow any emergency vehicle access to the school. If you are parking near the Barrington Base please ensure that you park away from the base and park thoughtfully regarding our neighbours. Thank you.
School Dinners
At last we are able to offer school dinners and these will be starting on 15th September.
Paperwork
At this time of year we have to ensure that all our paperwork is up to date for the school year and this means that you have to sign lots of different forms. I am sorry that there seems to be so many different forms covering a variety of areas. These will be sent home shortly.
