School Garden
The children in Key Stage 2 have resumed their regular visits to Barrington Court (National Trust) to work on their kitchen garden plot.
This year we are planting the area in a grid pattern with small squares of different vegetables; some in rows, some spaced out and some in the children’s own patterns eg. Hearts, leaf shapes etc.
Between the two bases we tend the plot weekly doing planting, weeding and maintenance.
We look forward to the harvest in the autumn term, when we help with cooking and eating a healthy meal made with the organic fruit and vegetables.
